Donghai Airlines is an airline headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, with its base at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. Its head office is in the Shenzhen Airlines facility on the airport property, which is in Bao'an District.


In 2015, the airline announced plans for a major increase in its operations, including the beginning of international and long-haul flights between 2020 and 2023 and to have 120 aircraft by 2025, including Boeing 787 Dreamliner and additional Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving the Pearl River Delta urbanised area in southern China, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The airport also has direct ferry routes to Hong Kong International Airport, where passengers can transit without going through immigration and custom checks, akin to transit between two flights.
